Formula Atlantic Championship Series
Another great season is in the books for the Atlantic Championship Series. Bob Corliss came into the last two races at VIR just needing one victory to capture 1st in the Atlantic Championship Challenge Series. After a dominate season ending victory at VIR on Saturday and finishing 2nd on Sunday (transmission issues held him back), Bob won the Challenge series title by ten points.
Rich Zober battled engine problems throughout the year, but came out to finish 4th both days at the final Atlantic Championship race of the 2016 season. Rich ended up 4th overall in the Championship. Chris Ash finished 5th overall and Lee Alexander finished 7th overall in the Atlantic Championship Series.

SCCA National Championship Notes
The Comprent Motorsports team closed out the 2016 racing season by taking Doug Mead (SRF), Clay Russell (SRF 3), and Daryll Shoff (P1) to the SCCA National Championships at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. After a tough test week where Doug crashed his car he rebounded and finished within the top 5 in Spec Racer Ford. Clay Russell, in his first time ever racing at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, finished 6th in Spec Racer Ford Gen3. Daryl Shoff, testing his new P1 prototype, ran into some engine problems early but rebounded to finish 8th in the race.
